The secondary teacher education for comprehensive science with a chemistry major teacher licensure program provides appropriate learning experiences to meet the needs, capabilities, and interests of high school students studying science with a chemistry focus. The program is designed to assist individuals in acquiring knowledge, developing skills and dispositions within a learning environment focused on active involvement and integrated learning activities. This program is available as a Bachelor of Science or a Bachelor of Arts

We also offer a comprehensive science with Biology major licensure program, both as a Bachelor of Science program or a Bachelor of Arts program.

Requirements
To complete the secondary grades teacher education program and earn licensure in Chemistry for grades 9-12, students must complete the requirements for general education and the chemistry major, as well as the following licensure requirements.

Students must be admitted in the Teacher Education Program to enroll.

Internship – last semester of teacher education program
