The Art of Making Theatre

Theatre Camp Students on Stage Performing

We welcome rising 7th, 8th, and 9th grade girls of ALL BACKGROUNDS and EXPERIENCE LEVELS who have an interest in taking part in a two-week-long theatre intensive summer camp. The camp will be taught by long time educator and Director of the Meredith College Theatre program Steven Roten. Mr. Roten is a professional actor of stage, film, and TV, a director of theatre and film, and a playwright.
During the first week, students will fully develop a one act play of their own through various playwriting techniques and improvisation work.
During week two those same students will focus on developing a solid foundation of acting techniques while we build and rehearse the devised work we created during week one of the camp. A public performance will be presented at the end of the second week!

The camp will run the weeks of June 15-19 and June 22-26, 9 a.m.- 4 p.m., Monday-Thursday, and Friday from 9 a.m.-12 p.m.

$500 (includes lunch)
