Personal interaction with faculty helped international student Mwende Mumo, ’23, identify the right majors that would capitalize on her math and problem-solving strengths. With her majors in mathematics and economics, she is well prepared for her future career in data science.
Alumna Tori Penna, ’19, gained a solid foundation to tackle the professional world and found the importance of community while attending Meredith College. After graduating, she continued to receive faculty support, which has empowered her throughout her career. She now works as an occupational therapist in inpatient rehab, where she helps individuals gain back their independence after a traumatic incident.
Experiential learning including studying abroad, leadership roles, and undergraduate research provided Olivia Slack, ’22, with many opportunities to explore her interests while at Meredith College. Thanks to a semester abroad through the Meredith in Italy program in Sansepolcro, Italy, Olivia has found a career path in international education that will allow her to share her passion for learning about the world.
Thanks to a competitive scholarship opportunity, Communication major Mariana Alvarez Gonzalez, ’22, built on her strengths at Meredith College. She plans to combine her love of storytelling with the communication skills she gained in the classroom and internships into a career in social media marketing.

Meredith College celebrated the Class of 2022 with two commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 14, 2022. The ceremonies were held in the College’s courtyard. In addition, graduate degree programs held separate hooding ceremonies for master’s degree candidates.
