You can transfer to Meredith at any point in your education. If you’re ready to complete your degree, we’ll help you achieve your educational and professional goals. 

For all applicants, a completed application, including an essay, is required. Students must also submit a non-refundable $40 application fee or acceptable fee waiver. Please review the complete list of application requirements below.

If you have 24 or more semester hours of transferable college credit at the time of application, you must meet the following requirements and submit the following application documents:

  • Have an overall C average on all courses attempted at post-secondary institutions
  • Be in good academic standing and social standing at the institution from which you are transferring
  • Be recommended by a college official at the institution from which you are transferring
  • Have a C or higher in a college transferable math class at an accredited institution, or have completed Algebra I, II and Geometry in high school
  • Have 18 semester hours in general education

An official transcript is required from each post-secondary institution attended, whether or not credit was earned. The transcript must come to Meredith directly from the institution(s). Check with the Office of the Registrar at your current or former school(s) for transcript request procedures. 

Please submit an essay of at least 250 words on a topic of your choice. Transfer applicants may wish to address their reasons for leaving their current institution to attend Meredith. Adult students may address their desire to return to college in general and why Meredith is an appropriate place to achieve that goal.

If you have less than 24 transferable credits, we’ll ask for your college transcript(s) and your high school transcript in addition to the following application documents.

Official College Transcript(s):
An official transcript is required from each post-secondary institution attended, whether or not credit was earned. The transcript must come to Meredith directly from the institution(s). Check with the Office of the Registrar at your current or former school(s) for transcript request procedures. 

Official High School Transcript:
Contact your former high school and request an official copy of your final high school transcript be sent directly to Meredith College. The transcript must come to Meredith directly from the high school or from the transcript-sending platform that the high school uses.
