Itzel Zuniga, ’23, came to Meredith as a dual-enrolled student, having attended Bladen Community College. As an interior design major at Meredith, she has built a strong community of friends and colleagues who have helped her succeed.
Danae Gross, ’22, is a registered and licensed dietitian earning her master’s in nutrition at Meredith. She will continue pursuing her goal of one day becoming a professor through UNC-Chapel Hill’s Ph.D. program in nutrition with a minor in epidemiology.
Class president and environmental sustainability major Casey Corpening, ’22, is a Meredith College and NC Teaching Fellow. After graduation, Casey is applying her strengths to the classroom as a middle school teacher in the Wake County Public School System.

Internships are an essential part of a Meredith College education. Here are three student intern success stories.
The annual Make It Count for Meredith Giving Day will be held Tuesday, February 28, 2023. The goal for the 24-hour giving challenge is to raise $1 million.
Eric Douglass has been named the new head coach for the Meredith Avenging Angels tennis program.
The Meredith College Documentary Film Festival took place on January 22, the festival and was free and open to the public.
The Frankie G. Weems Gallery at Meredith College is featuring the work of artist Megumi Naganoma in a new exhibition called In-Rage. The exhibition runs from January 23 through March 12.
Meredith piloted a new clinical exercise program in fall of 2022. The course provides practical experience for Health, Exercise, and Sport Sciences (HESS) students enrolled in ESS 486: Exercise Prescription.
In the fall 2022 semester, Professor of Art Shannon Johnstone arranged for her Photography I students to take photos at the Blind Spot Animal Sanctuary.
