Parents and Families Connection
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Meredith students and employees have followed community standards as part of the College’s Staying Strong plan. Campus Police helps make one of these tasks — the daily check-in with Campus Clear at the front gate — possible.
Meredith’s Learning Center offers free peer-tutoring to all enrolled students in a wide variety of content areas. Students can elect in-person or online appointments depending on their schedule and their location. As we’re in the final stretch before exams, this is a great time for students to come in and make a study plan to make sure they finish their semester strong.
On October 27, 2021, the Alumnae Association hosted a Fall Pop-Up event for current Meredith students. During this event, students received goodie bags with candy, Meredith stickers, and Halloween socks. Hot chocolate and apple cider were also offered in a to-go capacity.
Meredith’s Office of Career Planning (OCP) continues to offer a wide variety of opportunities for students to focus on their professional development and connect with employers.
On September 28, 2021, the Office of International Programs hosted a Study Abroad Fair for spring, summer, and fall 2022 study abroad programs. The event was held outside in the courtyard behind Johnson Hall with masks and distancing protocols in place.
The renovation of the iconic Meredith lake is complete thanks to the generosity of 1,400 alumnae and friends of Meredith College. The College is pleased to reintroduce this space on campus for all to enjoy.
Parents and families play important roles in the lives of Meredith students. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, and others come together to support students and enjoy being a part of the Meredith family. Because of this, Meredith’s office and services formerly devoted to parents have been renamed to reflect this inclusiveness.
