Encourage Your Student to Sign Up for MC Alerts
In the event of an emergency, rapid communication with the campus community is essential. Meredith College utilizes an emergency notification system known as MC Alert.

The MC Alert system allows Meredith to convey time-sensitive information within minutes, through a single phone call. Meredith College can schedule, send and track personalized voicemail, email and text messages to students, faculty and staff.

MC Alert emergency notification messages are sent via four different modes of communication:

  • Voice messages to home, work and/or cell phones
  • Text messages to cell phones, PDAs and other text-based devices
  • Written messages to email accounts
  • Messages to receiving devices for the hearing impaired.

In order to receive MC Alerts, students must sign up on Self Service. A student will need to log in with a Self Service user name and password in order to register. While parents are not able to register for MC Alert messages directly, students can choose to include a parent email or phone number as one of their contacts in the MC Alert system. Meredith Adding Two Sports
Meredith College has announced plans to add two new sports, bringing the total number of sports in which the Avenging Angels compete to ten. In Fall 2019, golf moves from a club team to a varsity level sport. In 2020, Meredith will add a field hockey team. The golf team is being coached by Jimmy Hamilton, a certified PGA professional. The College is conducting a search now for a field hockey coach. Learn more at GoAvengingAngels.com.

New Upgrades in Weatherspoon
Summer 2019 brought a facilities update to the Athletics Department! The Weatherspoon Complex was updated with a fresh, new look and is ready for the new year. Improvements include: fresh paint, new gym wall padding, new doors, new flooring, and new Meredith signage. The improvements were made possible by the generous support of our alumnae, parents, and friends. Come check out our updates at the first home volleyball game on Wednesday, September 25 at 7 p.m. Go Angels!
