Meredith COVID-19 Updates for May 20, 2020

This news roundup will be a regular feature in Campus Connections until the College resumes its typical face-to-face teaching and working schedule. Items are either of interest to faculty/staff or on topics about which students may ask questions.

Coronavirus Site Updated: The coronavirus section of meredith.edu has been updated now that the Spring 2020 semester has ended. The site contains information pertaining to Summer 2020 and planning for Fall 2020. Messages sent to students throughout the Spring semester are still available in the site’s archive. The site will continue to be updated regularly.

A Fall Planning section has been added to the site, including Frequently Asked Questions. More information will be added to this site throughout the summer.

Summer Hours Reminder: President Allen and the Executive Leadership Team have again approved half-day Fridays for this summer. Beginning the week of May 18, most administrative offices can begin observing summer hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to noon on Friday. Summer hours will last through the week of August 3. As always, those offices that must be staffed on Friday afternoons as well will work in rotations with fair compensation in rescheduled time-off.

Employee Resources Available on MyMeredith: A reminder that HR is compiling resources for employees during the pandemic on the HR MyMeredith page. This site also includes a listing of campus projects available on a voluntary, temporary basis for those who are not currently able to earn their typical work hours or who want to assist with campus projects. Visit the HR site on MyMeredith for more information or to view project opportunities.
