Meredith Abroad: Exploring Nutrition in Tuscany Program

–prior to leaving—required study abroad on-line classes/modules from the Office of International Programs  ~4 hours+

–prior to leaving—Study Mediterranean diet, prepare for departure

May 1—leave for Italy on your own (you schedule your own flight)

May 2-13, 2018—Tuscany Program with homework assignments to reinforce learning

May 13, 2018—leave for USA on your own (you schedule your own flight)

May 15-19, 2018—debrief and work on assignments  (or other dates TBD)

You are free to travel independently after the program, as the program ends on May 13th in Florence.

Note: We are accepting applications from other schools (additional fee required.)  We are accepting applications from alumni and preceptors as well. (additional fee required)

Angela Clontz, ’22, chose to pursue her M.S. in Nutrition after having an empowering undergraduate experience at Meredith College. She was able to capitalize on her passion for nutrition and is now pursuing her Ph.D., where she hopes to study nutrition and its effects on genetics, in particular with cancer.

Danae Gross, ’22,  is a registered and licensed dietitian earning her master’s in nutrition at Meredith. She will continue pursuing her goal of one day becoming a professor through UNC-Chapel Hill’s Ph.D. program in nutrition with a minor in epidemiology.
