Supporting Wellbeing Through Nutrition – Leslie Archer

For Leslie Archer, ’15, landing a job in health promotion was a dream. And after earning the Meredith Master of Science in nutrition, she was able to make that dream a reality.

During the last semester of the program, Leslie was recruited by Interactive Health, the nation’s largest provider of employee-sponsored wellness programs. She accepted a position as a wellness program manager, which allowed her to put the skills she gained through the M.S. in nutrition to use.

As a wellness program manager, Leslie was responsible for creating and delivering health promotion programs such as health screenings, lifestyle interventions, health education, and high-risk management programming for work-site locations in North Carolina, Arizona, and California. It was a great fit for Leslie, whose strengths include independent thinking, time management, and organization. Today, she continues to promote wellness as a sr. wellbeing benefits analyst at Syneos Health.

Although the M.S. in nutrition is the terminal degree in the field, Leslie’s appetite for knowledge remained strong. She went on to earn a Certified Health Education Specialist accreditation – and she credits the Meredith M.S. in nutrition with setting her on this path.

Leslie said she is a “prime example of how the Meredith M.S. in nutrition can help individuals obtain their dream jobs.”
