The Meredith College Police Department is staffed 24-hours-a-day year-round for your assistance and protection.
In-Progress Incidents
- Call 8888.
- Protect yourself, but do not attempt to interfere with the crime.
- Give your name and location and make sure the responding officer understands that the INCIDENT IS IN PROGRESS.
- Call 8888 and provide the following information:
- The nature of the incident. Advise that the incident is in progress!
- location;
- description of suspects;
- description of weapons;
- description of property;
- vehicle license plate number;
- direction of travel upon escape.
- Stay on the line with the responding officer.
Reporting Crimes That Have Already Occurred
- All crimes should be reported by calling Campus Police at 8888.
- Do not touch or move anything that may relate to the crime.
- When Campus Police responds, provide a description of property and the names/descriptions of any suspects or witnesses.
