Communication majors are required to complete at least one internship. The student receives work experience through a formal internship program, receiving three hours of academic credit. Students work a minimum of 120 hours during the semester. Recent internships have consisted of jobs in event planning, public relations, radio and TV production, marketing and human resources. Internships have been held in a variety of business communication settings, including many nonprofit organizations:
