Showing Support for Alumnae Educators

The Office of Alumnae Relations once again mailed Back-to-School packets to alumnae who are teachers, librarians, guidance counselors, social workers, administrators, professors, and other education personnel.

“As these alumnae begin a new academic year we wanted them to know that Meredith College values and supports their work in education.  It’s a small way for us to thank and acknowledge our alumnae educators,” said Hilary Allen, ‘01, director of alumnae relations.

Over 500 alumnae registered for the Back-to-School packet with items for them to use and display in their classrooms or offices.  This year’s packet included a pennant, journal notebook, and Meredith branded magnets for water bottles such as a Stanley Cup.  A table and room filled with stacks of back-to-school packets ready to be sent out.

“It is a great way for our alumnae educators to promote the College to future generations of Meredith Angels.  In addition to the office and classroom items, the Back-to-School packets include the Office of Admissions calendar.  Like myself, I am certain many alumnae had a Meredith teacher who encouraged them to consider Meredith or exposed them to the benefits of a Meredith education,” said Allen.

The mailing was sent to over 500 alumnae representing 48 different class years ranging from 1968 – 2023 and living in 18 different states.

The Alumnae Office has received positive feedback via the Alumnae Facebook group from alumnae who have received their Back-to-School packets.
