The Class of 2023 held a special event called Seniorsgiving on November 10, in Belk Dining Hall to announce and celebrate their senior class gift project. This year the class will be raising money for the greatest needs of Disability Services. Their goal for the project is $2,300.
At the event senior gift co-chairs, Consepcion Cruz-Valencia and Rebecca Lopez-Bello made the reveal and explained the process for giving.
”The students are very excited to take on this project. When voting on what they wanted to contribute to College it was unanimous that Disability Services was where their philanthropic passion was,” said Ashanti Smith, Meredith Fund leadership annual giving officer. “I am looking forward to working with the Class of 2023 to help make a difference at Meredith College”
The event was held from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. in Belk West and was a chance for all seniors to have a meal together, enjoy board games, and learn about why philanthropy is important to Meredith College.
