Newly Formed Student Success Center Adds to Team

Meredith College recently merged the offices of Student Success and Advising with the Learning and Testing Centers to form the Student Success Center (SSC). The reorganization took effect on May 2, 2022. 

Dr. Tina Romanelli has been appointed to lead the Student Success Center, which will provide Meredith students with advising, success coaching, peer tutoring, and mentoring. Additionally, the SSC will collaborate with faculty and staff on advising development and retention efforts. 

“The Student Success Center is committed to maintaining a culture of care and support for all Meredith students,” said Romanelli. “We’re delighted to have the entire community help us build the web of student support across campus.”

Romanelli is excited to be working with Associate Director of the Student Success Center Victoria Munn, Academic Advisor Steven Lemmons, and Administrative Assistant and Testing Facilitator Lilly Wood. 

Joining the team are two newly hired success coaches. Success coaches proactively support each student, staying in touch with frequent communication and regular engagement to keep students informed and successful while attending college.

Lynn Ghodbane is an education professional with experience at higher ed institutions and college prep programs. A graduate of McDaniel College, she looks forward to returning to her small liberal arts college roots at Meredith.

Taylor Mullins is a graduate of The University of Virginia’s College at Wise (Bachelor of Science – Business Administration) and Liberty University (Master of Education). She has a professional educational background in college access programs and student success. She looks forward to connecting with the faculty, staff, and students at Meredith College.
