Meredith Service to Celebrate Women Veterans

Meredith College will hold the 2023 Honoring Women Veterans event on Wednesday, Nov. 8, at 10 a.m. in Jones Chapel. 

The featured speaker for this year’s event will be Meredith College President Jo Allen. Her presentation is titled “Honoring Women Veterans: Reflections on Service.”

The annual event honors all veterans, with special emphasis on the contributions of women veterans. It is presented by the Meredith College Honoring Women Veterans Committee. 

The Honoring Women Veterans event is free and open to the public.

In addition, students may participate in a Cards for Vets: Holiday Card Making Workshop on Friday, November 10 from 1-3 p.m. on the first floor of Cate Center. After the workshop, the campus community is invited to make special holiday cards for veterans who are spending their holidays in the hospital.
