#MCStayingStrong Spotlight: Students Share Why They Love Meredith

The Marketing Department launched a #MCStayingStrong campaign on social media, as a way to lift spirits and to let the Meredith community share their work and learn from home spaces, their four-legged “coworkers,” and their continued love for Meredith.

A recent prompt in this series invited students to share a photo and a testimonial about why they love Meredith College.

Here are a few of the comments shared by students.

Emily Mitchum in Red Commencement Regalia standing against Lux Hall Building Sign“Meredith College is more than just a physical place that supports your higher education, it is a community of people that build scaffolding to your success in a variety of ways. My caring friends took this spontaneous cap and gown picture of me in front of Lux Hall, a building where I have worked as a student assistant for the Office of International Programs for five semesters, met my greatest mentors and learned from insightful peers, grown in leadership in MRA meetings, and connected with Honors students in the lounge. Though just a building, it represents my greatest source of support at Meredith: my community.” –Emily Mitchum, ’20

Every classmate, every professor, and every relationship I created on campus has shaped me into the best possible version of myself. I am forever grateful for wonderland and this incredibly bonded sisterhood!” –Asiyah Ahmad, ’20

I love Meredith for so many of these reasons. I know I made the right choice by choosing to become an Angel!” — Carmen Schoolcraft, ’21

Our current prompt is to share a photo of your favorite place on campus, with a short description of why it is a meaningful place. To participate, submit your photo and information on our social media submission form.
