Make It Count for Meredith Giving Day to be Held February 22

The seventh annual Giving Day, Make It Count for Meredith,  will be held Tuesday, February 22, 2022. The goal for the 24-hour giving challenge is to raise $750,000.

Each year, the Meredith Fund asks alumnae and donors to honor strong women –  best friends, sisters, mothers, aunts, mentors, role models. Women who helped to make them strong.

Gifts may be designated to any fund, and all funds ultimately help students and improve their experience at Meredith.

“We’ve had alumnae tell us that Giving Day is their favorite day of the year, with the exception of Christmas, “ said Erin Cleghorn, director of the Meredith Fund. “It’s wonderful to see all the social media posts, gifts, and tributes happening in those 24 hours. Meredith women truly love this college and each other.”

Since there are a lot of TWOS in the date this year, The Meredith Fund is asking alumnae to share about their best friend made at Meredith, or two best friends, or group of friends. Alumnae are asked to share photos on social media using #MakeItCount4MC and tell who they honored and why.

Last year, the Giving Day goal was $600,000. By midnight a total of 2,698 donors had contributed $771,521 in one day, exceeding the fundraising goal by more than $150,000.
