Join Meredith Alumnae on an Italian Adventure in September

Alumnae are invited to join Betty Webb, ’67, Professor Emerita, Department of English, and former director of International Programs, and Becky Bailey, Professor Emerita, Department of Art, as they lead Meredith alumnae and friends on a unique adventure in Italy, September 10-21, 2015.

Experience Italy’s architecture, glorious natural features, and delicious regional cuisine – on and off the beaten track — during a delightful time of year. The trip includes visits to six UNESCO World Heritage sites.

Take a ring-side seat for the Palio della Balestro crossbow competition in Sansepolcro, where Meredith has had a vibrant study abroad program for over 20 years. (It is impossible for anyone who has visited Sansepolcro to return to Italy without visiting Meredith’s magical home away from home.)

Travel on to Ravenna and to the stunning d’Este fortress in Ferrara and the famed canals of Venice. This custom tour will focus on Italy’s Veneto and the surrounding area, including Mantua, Padua, and Lake Garda.

Tour leaders pledge to do their very best to provide participants with the trip of a lifetime, aided, to be sure, by stunning architecture, glorious natural features, delicious regional cuisine, and congenial companions.

Cost: $3,890 per person, based on double occupancy. Single supplement, $825. Airfare is not included but a group flight option will be available. A non-refundable deposit of $1,000, due by April 1, 2015, will reserve your space. The balance is due by June 1, 2015.

A great deal of interest has already been expressed in this trip, so if it interests you, reserve your space soon.
