Important Student Account Reminders for Summer 2023

Meredith’s Accounting Office shares important upcoming dates and deadlines regarding student accounts. Student account information is available online through Student Self-Service.

Remember, if you have proxy access, you can review or pay the student account. Proxy access must be provided by the student for parents or others to review the account. The student must also reset your password if you forget it. Proxy access also ensures that you are included in any email notifications sent to students regarding student accounts.

Pay online with a card or checking/savings account. Credit or debit cards are charged a 2.7% fee, while using an e-check is a free service. And, you can always mail your check. Make checks payable to Meredith College and mail them to Accounting Office, Johnson Hall, 3800 Hillsborough St., Raleigh, NC 27607. Please include the student ID number on all checks.

Summer School 2023
Summer school registration begins in early March. Student accounts will be updated on April 15 and will be available to view online at that time.

The student’s payment is due in full in advance of each session in order to secure a seat in the class. There are no payment plans for summer sessions. Payment for tuition and fees for Session I (classes begin prior to June 25) is due in full on or before May 15, 2023. Payment for tuition and fees for Session II (classes begin on or after June 26) is due in full on or before June 15, 2023. Students who are taking classes in both sessions may elect to pay in full by May 15.

Fall Semester 2023
The fall tuition payment for pre-registered students is due in full by August 1 to hold pre-registration. Keep in mind that we offer semester payment plans in lieu of full payment. The fall student account balances and fall semester monthly payment plans will be available online on or before July 5 for pre-registered students.

Important Tax Information for Calendar Year 2022: Form 1098-T
The 1098-T form is an annual statement that reports the amount of qualified education expenses paid during the calendar year. The purpose of the form is to assist in determining eligibility for certain education-related tax credits under the US Treasury Taxpayer Relief Act of 1997.

Forms have been mailed to the address on file.  Students who have not received the 2022 form by February 15, 2023, should contact the Office of Accounting for a duplicate form. Electronic forms are also available now to current students through  Student Self-Service.
