Giving Day 2024 to be Held February 27

The annual Make It Count for Meredith Giving Day will be held Tuesday, February 27, 2024. The goal for the 24 hour giving challenge is to raise $1.1 million.

Donors can honor a strong woman, group of women, or person in their life with their gift and can designate their gifts to any area they wish to support.

On social media, alumnae and donors share who they are honoring with a Giving Day sign, create videos of why they support Meredith, and provide challenges throughout the day to engage donors.

“Giving Day is such a wonderful day where the Meredith community comes together to support current and future students with gifts,” said Jean Gambrill, director of the Meredith Fund. “There is so much excitement on social media. Donors share who they are honoring, recall favorite memories from Meredith, and give to areas that are important to them. The support for our students is incredible.”

The Meredith Fund invites you to help spread the word about the Day of Giving. You can share the promo video and use the zoom backgrounds in your meetings for the next week to promote the day.  Inform alumnae and friends and ask them to visit meredith.edu/makeitcount4mc to learn more.

Additionally, the Alumnae Association invites you to celebrate Meredith’s 133rd birthday in the Rotunda from 1-3 p.m. on February 27. President Jo Allen will give remarks at 1:30 p.m. and attendees will enjoy birthday treats and giveaways.

We hope you will follow along on the Make It Counts for Meredith website and on Meredith College’s Facebook and Instagram accounts on February 27 to see our $1.1 million goal reached.
