Updated Crosswalk Improves Campus Safety

Students, faculty, and staff with disabilities now travel more safely to and from Weatherspoon Gym thanks to the improved crosswalk on North Campus Drive near Martin Hall and the Ellen Brewer House. Thanks to many on campus who made this accessibility project possible. However, updated crosswalks won’t protect pedestrians if drivers race around campus. Please observe the speed limit when driving on campus. Slow down when approaching any crosswalk and watch for pedestrians. Friendly Reminder: The maximum speed limit on campus is 20 miles per hour. The maximum speed limit in parking areas is 10 miles per hour. –Submitted by Disabilities Services
