Faculty/Staff Accomplishments 2/7/24 

In this issue, we celebrate the accomplishments of faculty and staff in athletics, institutional advancement, and the office of the president.

President Jo Allen was recently a guest on the IngenioUs podcast, which features conversations meant to “spark innovation and open doors to the future of higher education.” Allen’s episode was released on January 23, 2024.

Linda Carter, senior director of gift planning, earned the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®) status from The American College of Financial Services in December. She is also vice president for membership of the North Carolina Council of Charitable Gift Planners.

Athletic Director Shannon Yates spoke at the Cary Rotary Club on January 30 about the State of College Athletics.

In October 2023, Meredith College hosted an event for Project Plasma in observance of International Plasma Awareness Week 2023. This event is featured in the Winter Edition of the GBS CIDP newsletter (on page 10, under Project Plasma). The Project Plasma event was held in honor of Meredith Provost Matthew Poslusny. Representatives from the Garner Station Grifols Donation Center and the GBS|CIDP Foundation International participated.
