Embody Senior Art Exhibition on View in Weems Gallery November 17-December 14

Meredith College’s newest senior exhibition Embody, featuring work by Trinity Casey, Elizabeth Kemple, Katie Kirke, Chloe Miller, and Helen Singleton will open in the Frankie G. Weems Art Gallery on November 17, 2022.

This senior exhibition is a culmination of work by a dynamic group of five artists. Each student has gathered work that showcases their interpretation of the meaning of the word “Embody,” and seeks to shed a unique light on reflective attributes. The variety of mediums or subjects used within the gallery might appear unconnected at first glance; however, the underlying truth of the students’ artwork is the embodiment of the human experience. The artwork in Embody will successfully resonate with any audience—artist or not.

An opening reception will be held on November 17 from 5-7 p.m. with gallery talks from 5:30-6:30 pm. The exhibition will run from November 17-December 14 at the Frankie G. Weems Art Gallery.

Gallery hours are Tuesday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, 2-5 p.m. For more information, email gallery@meredith.edu.
