Campus Campaign Spotlight: Faculty and Staff Campaign

The Faculty and Staff Campaign has officially come to an end, but next week the Meredith campus will celebrate our success after the Town Hall meeting on Thursday, November 5, which begins at 3:30 p.m. in Jones Auditorium.

Throughout the seven-week campaign faculty and staff have contributed directly to the Beyond Strong campaign and showed why Meredith is so important to them. A high faculty and staff giving rate shows that work life is important and valued and that employees believe in what Meredith is doing and want it to continue to keep Going Strong.

Throughout the last few weeks faculty and staff have shared why giving to Meredith was important. Learn why they gave.

Tom Manning
Director of Wings

Tom’s gift to the Meredith Fund supports financial strength.
“There is a lot behind the sign I hold – I was private college student at three different institutions, I always struggled to make ends meet, I had to borrow my way through college, and I left the college I most wanted to graduate from because of a $1500 gap in my financial package that I could not fill and the college refused to fill. I also give because I believe in Meredith. I believe in the value of having a Meredith education and I believe in the value of keeping Meredith strong.”

Sasha Ormond
Assistant Professor of Chemistry

Sasha’s gift supports academic excellence and enrollment. “I give to support Meredith College and the Department of Chemistry, Physics and Geoscience to continue to provide excellent education that prepares our students to smoothly transition to post-undergraduate opportunities such as graduate school, professional school, or industry.”

Pam Jarrett
Second Shift Supervisor in Housekeeping

Pam gives to support quality of life.
Pam is not only an employee of Meredith, but a recent graduate herself. “I give because Meredith has been so good to me. Faculty and staff encouraged me to obtain my degree and were so supportive. I want to see other students gain a better life with an outstanding education.”

If you have not yet made a gift, there is still time to do so. Please make your gift today by visiting our faculty and staff giving page.
