Assistant Director Receives Award from State Association

Kaitlyn Bayley, Assistant Director for StrongPoints® for Meredith College, was named the 2017 Presidential Award recipient for the North Carolina Association of Colleges and Employers (NCACE) at its annual conference held May 3-5 in Raleigh. The award, selected by the NCACE President with input from the Awards Committee, honors a recipient who has been an NCACE member for a minimum of one year and a maximum of four years and has demonstrated notable contributions to NCACE, career services and/or college recruitment. It is meant to recognize emerging leaders within the association and field who have gone “above and beyond.”
Bayley was recognized for providing significant contributions, having served with conference planning on the programming and local arrangements committees, while also serving as this year’s membership chair. She was described as follows: “Team player. Proactive. Organized. Cheerleader. Curious. A utility player, the type of person that can fill in the gaps when needed.” In addition, in 2016 her work for the conference was instrumental in helping to provide HRCI and NBCC approved continuing education credits, a process that is constantly evolving and becoming more complex.
Originally from Rochester, NY, Bayley holds a bachelor’s degree from the College of William & Mary and a master’s degree in college student development and counseling from Northeastern University. Prior to joining Meredith in August 2015, she worked in career development at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, completed an instructor certificate in Strengths-Based Education from Gallup in 2015, and became a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach in 2016.
