Admissions Adapts to Virtual Model

The Office of Admissions is committed to bringing in the class of 2024 and continues to adapt to all the restrictions in the wake of COVID-19. Through the Meredith College Virtual Visit page, prospective students can schedule personalized visits with Admissions Counselors and Faculty members.  Additionally, students can connect with young alumnae via Zoom.

The Office of Admissions hosted Virtual Experience Meredith! in four parts: “Welcome from Dr. Allen and Academics,” “Residence Life and Dining,” “Off to College for Students and Parents,” and “Student Life: Finding Your Community Through Getting Involved.”  Powered by Zoom, each virtual session allowed admitted students to learn about our programs, hear from current students, and ask questions in real time.

Virtual Information Sessions for Transfer and Wings students have also been implemented.  Jordan Richards, Associate Director of Admissions, hosted these sessions in collaboration with colleagues in Academic Advising, Financial Assistance, and Academics.  “We were still able to provide attendees with the same information in a personalized way,” she remarked.

On the Official Facebook Group of Meredith College Class of 2024, twice weekly Live chats with members of White Iris Circle and Meredith Hues give admitted students the opportunity to hear from current students.  Associate Director of Admission, Grace Sugg, explains that “these sessions have allowed for authentic sharing and Q&A dialogue between current and prospective students.”

Webinars for current high school juniors and virtual Start Strong events are also in the works.
