Academic Fair Planned for September 27

The StrongPoints office, Student Success Center, and Registrar office are hosting an Academic Fair on Wednesday, September 27 from 10-11 a.m. in the Cate Center.

Is your student undecided on your major(s)/minor(s)? Still needs to declare their major(s)/minor(s)? Need to switch their major or minor? Perhaps they’re just curious about the different academic paths available to them. No matter where they are in their major decision process, we invite them to come by the Academic Fair!

Why should your student attend?

  • They will have the opportunity to speak with faculty from a variety of academic departments about major(s) or minor(s), gather insights about their respective fields, and answer questions.
  • The registrar’s office will also be there with declaration forms students can fill out and answer questions about the process of declaring.

The following departments are participating in the Academic Fair:

  • World Languages and Cultures
  • Education/Teaching Scholars
  • School of Business
  • English
  • Psychology & Social Work
  • Mathematics and Computer Science
  • Art
  • Sociology & Criminology
  • Food and Nutrition
  • Health, Exercise, and Sport Sciences
  • Human Environmental Sciences
  • History, Political Science, International Studies
  • Communication
  • Biology

Whether your student is passionate about a specific subject or still searching for their academic niche, this event is designed to guide them toward making an informed decision about their major(s)/minor(s).
