25th Annual Meredith Golf Classic Held

The Meredith College Golf Classic was held Monday, May 1, 2023, at Wildwood Green Golf Club. The event was coordinated by the Office of Institutional Advancement and this year marked the 25th anniversary of the event. All proceeds from the Golf Classic benefit the Meredith Athletics Department and enhance the experiences of current student-athletes. 

Each year, the Meredith College Golf Classic includes a silent auction that also supports student-athletes. This year’s online silent auction included a weekend excursion to an N.C. beach, trips to Charlotte, New York City, Charleston, and Italy as well as Carolina Panthers tickets, ACC sports tickets, art, Cornhuskin’ wristbands, youth camps, and much more.

The auction closed at midnight on May 1 and grossed over $20,000. 

The title sponsor for the event was Inland Construction Co, which was the general contractor of the Communication, Health, Exercise & Sport Sciences Building (CHESS) when it was constructed. The company will soon start work on the new Estes-Speight Family Athletic Complex.
