Meredith College held its 14th annual Retired Faculty and Staff Luncheon on September 21, 2023. The event, hosted by Institutional Advancement, welcomed more than 70 attendees. This event allows time for guests to reconnect and hear the latest news from Meredith College.
President Jo Allen gave a State of the College that included information about capital projects such as the athletic complex, Jones Auditorium, and residence hall upgrades. She also gave updates about new academic programs and Institutional Advancement’s fundraising year accomplishments. She informed the group about communication for the new presidential search and the Forever Strong tour she will conduct along with Alumnae Relations to inform alumnae of updates on campus and fundraising efforts we seek to accomplish this year.
The Office of Institutional Advancement organizes the event each year and is always pleased to bring retirees back to campus.
“As we see the faculty and staff mingle with each other, we are reminded of the friendships and bonds created over the many years spent together,” said Astra Ball, director of advancement services. “It is a reminder of the connection that employees make with each other at Meredith College.”
