» Writing Sample Information

For the writing sample, please submit one of the following:

• an undergraduate research paper documenting original data collection, data analysis (either statistical or qualitative, with discussion of findings)
• an undergraduate literature review paper (a review of argument paper based on peer-reviewed journal articles, NOT newspaper articles of websites)
• a substantive or research-based piece of writing through your employment (for example, evaluation reports, data trend reports, or a grant proposal)
• an original document that is either a research paper or a literature review paper (see above for further details)

Writing samples should be between 5 and 20 pages in length. Research papers and literature reviews should use APA formatting for in-text citations and bibliography. Contact Dr. Lori Brown with any questions.

In addition, you will have an interview with the director or the faculty advisor in person or through our online platform. The intent is to simply be sure you feel prepared to do the writing required for graduate work.
