Rachel Findley is an assistant professor of food and nutrition at Meredith College. She also serves as the director for the Didactic Program in Dietetics. Rachel has worked primarily in food-service management and was most recently the Director of Child Nutrition Services for Johnston County Schools in Smithfield, NC, before transitioning to Meredith College as a full-time faculty member. Her interests include school nutrition program management, leadership, nutrition politics and policies, and the art of feeding people through quantity production. Rachel received her B.S. and M.S. degrees in nutrition from Meredith College. Her educational philosophy centers around integrating food-service practice into the learning process through experiential learning.
