Profile

Kari Alberque serves as a Social Work Instructor within the Department of Psychology and Social Work at Meredith College. Her background encompasses generalist social work, with a particular emphasis on macro practice. Kari has tackled a diverse array of issues, including child protective services, affordable housing, preventing homelessness, leadership development for adolescent girls, and youth summer employment programs. Nevertheless, her true passion lies in assisting children with disabilities and their families.

 

In her professional journey, Kari has contributed to early intervention services, parent support programs, and initiatives aimed at transforming education systems to foster inclusivity. Drawing upon this extensive experience, Kari is dedicated to nurturing the upcoming generation of social workers in the classroom, equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary to make a positive impact in their communities.
