My interest in literacy education began early in my teaching career, as I collected children’s books for my classroom libraries and later matured as I completed a degree in reading education. Throughout my years of elementary classroom experience in Virginia and Maryland, I explored the possibilities of technology in teaching and learning. Here at Meredith I have been able to bring my interests together as I work with elementary teacher candidates and graduate education students to learn about literacy and the potential of technology to enhance learning for their students.
