Profile

Professional biography

Emily Howard is a mixed-media fiber artist and textile advocate. Howard has had many unique opportunities to travel and study abroad including a program in Thailand focusing on ikat weaving, and an internship at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, Italy. After obtaining an MFA in Textile Design from East Carolina University, she has been teaching fibers, in the art department, at Meredith College, and various art, fashion and interior design classes in the Raleigh area. She was recently granted a residency at Artspace in Raleigh. Howard exhibits her work nationally and regionally, most Southeastern Community College in Whiteville, NC.
