Betsy Fritschel, ’77, joined the Board of Trustees in 2004 and is now serving in her second full term. She has worked with both the Outreach committee and the Business and Finance committee.
Fritschel is a recognized expert in pharmaceutical quality systems and regulations. She has been with Johnson & Johnson in a variety of manufacturing, quality, and regulatory positions for 34 years. In her current position as Director of Enterprise Regulatory Outreach for Johnson & Johnson she is responsible for interacting with health authorities to shape emerging regulations and policy related to manufacturing and assuring quality in the health care industry. She is involved with a number of international pharmaceutical standards-setting organizations including the International Conference on Harmonization and the Expert Committee for Pharmaceutical Specifications for the World Health Organization.
Fritschel received her B.S. in Chemistry from Meredith College in 1977.
