During high school, she served 3 years as an accompanist for her high school ensembles.
Angela received both her bachelor and masters degrees in piano from Meredith College and was a student of James Clyburn. Upon being accepted to Meredith, she was the recipient of a music scholarship and during her college years she was awarded the Presser scholarship and also a graduate school scholarship. During this time, she was also inducted into Sigma Alpha Iota and Pi Kappa Lambda.
Angela has taught piano both privately and also in a Christian school and has held several church music positions throughout the years. For the past 12 years, she has served as the pianist and organist for Hollands United Methodist Church. As a member of the Raleigh Piano Teachers Association and the North Carolina Music Teachers Association, many of her students participate in the Young Artist Auditions each year.
Since 2001, Angela has helped with both the summer piano camp and beginner’s piano camp and enjoys teaching all ages and levels, but especially enjoys working with the beginning student.
