4 ways to schedule an appointment with a counselor:
- Email CounselingCenter@meredith.edu.
- Send a message through the Meredith Student Wellness Portal using the Messages tab in the banner menu.
- Call (919) 760-8427 and leave a voicemail message.
- Drop by the Counseling Center main office at 208 Student Health & Wellness Center between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Staff will respond between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Problem-Solving Hour
The Counseling Center and Disability Services offers a drop-in Problem-Solving Hour on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 10:00 a.m. for students to ask questions, seek support, and begin problem solving. Counselors see students on a first-come, first-served basis; no appointment is necessary.
Crisis Hour
Talk with a counselor during Crisis Hour, 1:00-2:00 p.m., Monday—Friday by dropping by 208 Student Health & Wellness Center. You may also call (919) 760-8427 to schedule a telehealth Zoom or phone session.
Crisis Resources
In crisis, contact the Counselor on-call 24/7 by calling Campus Police at (919) 760-8888 or the Critical Response Team at (919) 612-6350 for assistance during the fall and spring academic semesters. Please note: There is no on-call counselor available during the winter recess or over the summer.

Outreach and Training
Counseling Center staff welcomes opportunities to partner with academic departments, student organizations, and committees to provide mental health related outreach and trainings.
The Counseling Center has participated in Sexual Assault Awareness Events, Southern Smash (an eating disorder awareness event), depression and anxiety screens, self-love/self-compassion events, and more. The Counseling Center provides trainings on suicide prevention, self-care, healthy relationships, Title IX, stress management, anxiety reduction, counseling and active listening skills, how to have critical conversations, goal setting, and more. Staff moderate events and facilitate summer reading and other discussions.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Counseling Center is not accepting walk-in appointments and is conducting the majority of services through telehealth visits. Scheduling an Appointment
To schedule an appointment, please call (919) 760-8427 between the hours of 1 p.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Appointments may also be scheduled by coming to the Counseling Center main office at 208 Carroll Hall between the hours of 1 p.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
