Spring Formal 2024 – An Enchanted Evening

Spring Formal will be Saturday, March 23rd from 8:30pm – 12:30am at the Crabtree Valley Marriott, Raleigh, NC.

Seniors and a guest are free of charge (if you are a senior, look for the email from Class of 2024 to sign up)

Please purchase tickets no later than Tuesday, March 19th at 11:59pm.  Tickets are $25 per person; $30 per person at the door

TRADITIONS FUND
We value inclusion and accessibility for Meredith traditions! If you need assistance with the cost, the Meredith Traditions Fund may cover a ticket for your attendance (just student, not guest) at Spring Formal. In order to be considered for this scholarship, you must apply at least three (3) business days prior to the end of ticket sales, which is March 14th. There is a limited number of scholarships available.

ACCOMMODATIONS
Accommodation requests for you or a guest should be made by March 19th through Cheryl Jenkins at jenkinsc@meredith.edu.

–Bus Shuttle all night on 30 minute intervals – arrive 15 minutes ahead of your shift
–Buses are equipped with ADA wheelchair lifts
–No Non-Meredith guests allowed
–Must agree to the 2024 Release Form below
–Buses will pick up at Meredith at Jones Chapel and drop off at back of Hotel (and vice versa)

BEHAVIOR EXPECTATIONS

• You are responsible for your GUESTS having knowledge of our guidelines for this upcoming dance.
• You may be asked to present an ID upon entry to the dance or at any time during the dance, so bring your ID with you.  Also, your contents are subject to be searched upon entry to the dance or at any time during the dance.
• No alcoholic beverages, no smoking and no vaping are permitted at any Meredith function.
• No Re-entry: once you leave the event area at the Crabtree Valley Marriott, you will not be permitted to return.
• Inappropriate Behavior: you will be asked to leave the event by a Meredith staff member or Law Enforcement/Security Personnel if you demonstrate inappropriate behavior at the dance (i.e. Behavior that takes away from the purpose, decorum and student enjoyment of the dance or creates disruption and security or safety risks).  Inappropriate behavior that is in violation of the Meredith Honor Code may result in action by the Honor Council.
• Medical Attention: If you or someone you know requires medical attention because they are intoxicated, call 911 and then inform a staff member or officer at the event.  The Meredith College Medical Amnesty Policy, as outlined in the Student Handbook, encourages students to seek or request immediate medical assistance for themselves or others when there is concern about extreme intoxication, alcohol poisoning and/or sexual misconduct that threatens a student’s health and safety.  When a student requests medical assistance (for herself or another student) because they or another student has consumed too much alcohol, or is at risk of being a victim of sexual misconduct, neither student will be subject to Honor Council action for the consumption.  This policy does not preclude Honor Council actions regarding other violations of College policies and does not protect the intoxicated students from actions taken by local, state or federal authorities.
• College Reporting: Reports of misconduct or inappropriate behavior will be provided to the Dean of Students office to be considered for further action.
• Safe Rides: If you need a safe ride, make sure you have a designated driver in place for you that evening or that you have an alternative transportation option such as a taxi cab, Uber, Lyft, etc.
