Elements that make your photography strong:

Strong individuals. Look for genuine, unguarded emotion.

Strong stories. If a picture is worth a thousand words, make sure yours tell the most powerful stories possible.

Strong action. Show the people in your community engaged in what they love.

Strong compositions. Simple images are usually better. Especially when choosing “hero” images for use with the fading grey effect. Lose extraneous details when possible. Get close enough so that the viewer feels like she is there.
