Figuring out how to finance your education is one of the most important factors to consider when choosing a college. In this post, we’ll share scholarship opportunities for first-year and transfer students. Meredith awards over $30 million in institutional grants and scholarships to hundreds of students each year. In fact, over 95% of Meredith students receive institutional aid.
Every student who applies and is admitted to Meredith is considered for this merit scholarship. No separate application is needed.
The Academic Merit Scholarship acknowledges your academic achievements and represents Meredith College’s investment in you and your education. With satisfactory academic progress, the award is renewable for up to four years, for a total value of $80,000 to $108,000.
All first-year students who meet Meredith’s admission requirements will receive a minimum $20,000 annual scholarship.
Admitted first-year students who meet the following academic requirements will receive the award amounts listed below.*
This prestigious scholarship is the highest honor available to first-year students. The Full-Ride Merit Scholarship is awarded based on academic achievement, leadership, service, and character. Recipients receive full tuition, housing in residence halls, food, books, supplies, international study, and other academic enrichment programs with a total estimated value of $230,000.
To be considered for this scholarship, simply apply for admission to the College via Early Decision or Early Action and apply to the Meredith College Honors Program. The deadline to apply for the Honors Program is January 15. Full-Ride Merit Scholarship recipients are selected from Honors Program applicants.
Transfer Scholarships
Meredith offers academic grants and scholarships to recognize transfer students whose previous college records reflect superior academic ability, achievement, and leadership potential.
Your application for admission is your application for this scholarship. Award amounts may be determined by such factors as grades reflected on your college transcript(s) at the time of admission, credits completed, and the college official recommendation.
Transfer students with 30 or more transferable credits who have been inducted into PTK are eligible for this scholarship. Noting your Phi Theta Kappa induction on your application for admission is your application for the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship.
These are just a few of the scholarships offered at Meredith. We also award scholarships for talent, STEM, teaching, and more!
