We see the impact of a strong education every day. But if you’re like most students, the cost of attending college is a significant factor in your college search. In this post, we’ll share the three steps you’ll take to apply for financial assistance at Meredith. Having that information will become even more important as you narrow down your list of colleges.

STEP 1: APPLY FOR ADMISSION

The first step to getting a financial aid package from Meredith is to apply for admission. Every student (including transfer students) who applies and is admitted to Meredith is considered for academic merit awards, including Impact Scholarships, or tuition grants.

STEP 2: APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID

The second step is to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible after Oct. 1 of your senior year. You do not need to wait for your admission decision to start the need-based financial aid application process.

Meredith will receive your FAFSA information electronically – just submit your FAFSA with our FAFSA Title IV Code: 002945. We use this information to determine your eligibility for financial aid options like grants, loans, and need-based scholarships.

Undocumented, DACA, and International Students should submit Meredith’s Application for Institutional Financial Aid.

STEP 3: REVIEW AND APPLY FOR SCHOLARSHIPS

Meredith funds over $30 million in grants and scholarships. Separate applications are required for a number of them.

Applications are also required for Talent Scholarships, Thomas Meredith Baptist Heritage Scholarships, and Meredith Teaching Scholars, Honors, STEM, and Service Scholars programs. Note that you must apply to the Honors Program to be considered for Presidential and Meredith Legacy Scholarships.
