Celebrating Student Achievement Day at Meredith

During your college journey, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to enhance your learning and development beyond the traditional classroom. 92% of our students participate in some form of experiential learning, including undergraduate research. In today’s blog, we discuss just one of the ways we celebrate our students’ achievements at Meredith.

To showcase the work of our strong students, Meredith hosts a research symposium, Celebrating Student Achievement (CSA) Day, annually. Family, friends, faculty, staff, and students attended oral and poster presentation sessions which covered a variety of disciplines, such as art history, chemistry, data science, and more. In the most recent CSA Day, research topics included “Exploring Health Outcomes, Food Security, and Resilience Strategies among Latinx Residents in N.C. High Country” and “The Evolution of Pro-Democracy Movements in China 1989-2014” to “Examining Women’s Health Equity with Machine Learning Techniques” and “Forecasting Energy Stock Prices Utilizing Historical Data and Time Series Analysis.”

Additionally, there is a senior fashion show, an interior design showcase, and award ceremonies for achievements in academics and leadership.

“CSA Day is an amazing way that Meredith College can display the hard work of its students all across campus,” said Brooke Herring, ’24, a health, exercise & sport sciences major. “From research to posters to presentations, to award ceremonies and honor society inductions, I have been able to truly see the depth and devotion of the students’ love for learning, as well as Meredith’s desire to recognize their constant efforts.”
