You may pursue a Master of Arts in Teaching in elementary education, English as a second language, or special education. You will develop expertise in an instructional area, resulting in a master’s level (M-level) license in that area.

MAT Flex Plan Course Options
designed to provide more flexibility for degree completion and should be developed with advising from the program coordinator
MAT in Elementary Education
Students earning the MAT with a specialty in elementary education are required to complete 39 credit hours.

Students earning the MAT with a specialty in English as a second language are required to complete 39 credit hours.
MAT in Special Education
Students earning the MAT with a specialty in special education are required to complete 39 credit hours.

MAT in Health and Physical Education
Students earning the MAT with a specialty in health and physical education are required to complete 36 credit hours.
