Theatre Scholarships

The Award:

Each year first-year applicants are selected to receive the Siska Scholarship on the basis of talent in theatre. This scholarship is a one-year award. A student must be a full time student planning to pursue a major in theatre at Meredith College. Note: Students applying for talent scholarships are encouraged to apply to the College using the Early Action Application Plan and must be admitted to the College by the Talent Scholarship Application Deadline.

The John Creagh Memorial Scholarship Award was established to honor Dr. Creagh, a beloved Meredith faculty member of theater and communication for 23 years, before he succumbed to cancer just before Easter 2007.  All students with a demonstrated interest in communication, theater, and literature are invited to apply. Students who contribute to the diversity of the college are particularly encouraged to apply.

The Wardlaw Scholarship is awarded to a rising senior theatre major each year who has maintained a high grade point average and made significant contributions to the program.

The Siska Scholarship is an endowment for incoming first-year students who plan on making theatre their major and career. Audition and interview are required for application, and interested high school seniors should contact Steven Roten for more information
