Meredith Provided Services For Students
The Technology Services department provides support for all Meredith owned technology equipment. Access to all technology related forms, documents, software, and print drivers is through a Blackboard MyMeredith account.
Help Desk Support
The technology services help desk and desktop support staff will provide both hardware and software support for all Meredith College owned pcs, laptops, and printers. Students who bring personal laptops to campus will receive wireless connectivity and Meredith network printer support. Recommended vendors who provide hardware and software support are also available to students. Laptop Minimum Specs
To provide network access and printing support on personal laptops, Windows or Mac, equipment must have the following minimum specifications.
Meredith College provides two wireless access points. The meredith-public is available to everybody and there is no password. Students have access to the Meredith private secure network. Visit MyMeredith - MCTech, then select Wireless Connectivity for more information. Students with connectivity issues should contact the Help Desk.
Campus Card (camcard)
Students are issued a campus card, referred to as camcard, while they are at Meredith College. The camcard can be used both on and off campus for meal plans, debit accounts, access to facilities, restaurants, and campus printing. CamCard support with financial issues is the responsibility of the Meredith Accounting Department.
Students, and or parents, must manage adding money to the camcard. Students and parents can add money to their camcard via GET, our camcard management system. You can access get through https://get.cbord.com/meredith/full/prelogin.php.
Meredith College provides two "pay for print and copy solutions" for students. The goal is to ease print costs and contribute to the greening of the campus by reducing wasteful printing. For more information on the different print solutions offered to students. See Printing and Copying.
All students are provided with a Google Apps Education account. Gmail, one of the components of the suite, is tailored for Meredith to use as its primary email package: Visit MyMeredith - MCTech, then select Googe (Apps and Drive) for information on using the different apps and setting up Google Drive.
Through the MyMeredith gateway, students,faculty, and staff have access to a variety of campus resources. MyMeredith resides on Blackboard, the college’s web-based learning management system.
Students are issued accounts for Blackboard,once they enroll at Meredith. Faculty may use Blackboard to provide a student landing space for course materials, such as syllabi, readings, assignments, tests, discussion boards, and student grades. In addition, many student organizations and committees use Blackboard organizations to share materials and to communicate securely with one another.
Students are issued accounts to WebAdvisor, a web-based package providing access to personal and college-related information. Students can check grades, register for classes, access MCAlert, and download GData.
Internet Security (virus protection)
Windows based laptops: All students not participating in the laptop program are eligible for a free copy of G-Data Internet Security. G-Data comes with a one year renewable license. Students participating in the laptop program who that need an extension are also eligible. Contact the Help Desk.
Mac anti-virus is available as a free download from Sophos.

Atomic Learning is a library of "atom-sized bites" movie tutorials that answer "How do I do that?" questions for both Windows and Mac platforms. Meredith College offers students, parents and family members of students, and employees 24/7 access to Atomic Learning from school and home.
Students should access Atomic Learning through their MyMeredith Account. Family members are eligible for free access to Atomic Learning. Login information for family members is available at the Help Desk.
Free and discount (Productivity, Support, and Academic) software is available to all students. See Campus Software for a brief description, or login into MyMeredith - MCTech, select any option under Campus Software.

Meredith College uses CoursEval, a web based online software package, for course evaluations. The course evaluation process and student feedback is critical to the success of Meredith College.
