Meredith STEM Summer College is an opportunity for rising 11th and 12th grade women to focus on mathematics and science during the summer. Students who successfully complete the course will earn three college credit hours from Meredith College.

While students will engage in multi-disciplinary study throughout the course, each student will select either biology, mathematics, or statistical science as her area of focus during the application process. Students will create a poster summarizing what they have learned through their research during the course and present it to classmates, parents, and guests in a poster session on the afternoon of Thursday, July 18.

Participants will engage in:

  • An in-depth study of STEM topics focusing on an important topic of interest
  • Critical thinking and problem solving that will prepare them for college study
  • Experiential learning – making connections between academia and the world
