Jesus was unquestionably an extraordinary teacher. From contemporary Jewish scholars to ordinary folks whose paths he crossed daily, his audiences were wide-ranging—and his teaching tool of choice was a parable.  Parables come in a variety of styles and sizes and, on first glance, appear to be simple moral lessons. They are not! Join us in this five-week course as together we examine the power of parables to challenge assumptions, provoke critical reflection, and invite new ways of understanding the world.
