Wings Students Learn from Alumnae Experiences

The fourth annual Wings Connections and Conversations Dinner took place on Thursday evening, September 6, 2018.  This event was held for current Wings students and Wings alumnae, hosted by the Office of Alumnae Relations and Wings Program Director Tom Manning.

The event included dinner, an alumnae panel, and table topic discussions.  The alumnae panelists included Sandra Close, ’86, Carolyn Hriso, ’94, Ann Morrison, ’05, and Karen Baltimore, ’14. The panel was moderated by alumna Kay Davis, ’97.

Questions that the panelists answered included: What made you take the first step? What was your fondest memory of the first semester? What’s your best advice or advice you wish you’d had at the time? What have you learned since graduation that you wish you had realized as a student at Meredith that was valuable to you in your life and career?

The table topic discussions included helpful people at Meredith to know, what alumnae wish they had done differently, how to stay motivated when you want to quit, and family support.
