Weather Alert: Offices Closing at 3 p.m. 1/30, Remote operations for Monday, 2/2
- Published

With the Raleigh area under a Winter Storm advisory, the following changes are being made to the College’s operating schedule:
Administrative offices will close at 3 p.m. on Friday, January 30, to allow employees time to prepare for the storm. When leaving the office, please prepare it as you would for a holiday break (close blinds, unplug appliances, etc).
Friday classes will proceed as scheduled; Meredith does not have any classes scheduled after 3 p.m. on Fridays.
All campus activities for Saturday, January 31, and Sunday, February 1, have been cancelled or rescheduled.
The College will operate remotely on Monday, February 2. Employees who can work remotely can do so during all shifts on February 2. Employees should consult with their supervisors, who are encouraged to be flexible and recognize that some employees may live in areas affected differently by the weather. Please always use your best judgment about coming to campus if you live in an area that warrants additional caution.
Meredith departments, including Campus Police, Dining, Residence Life, and Facilities, have plans in place to ensure essential campus services remain available. Supervisors of essential personnel will coordinate staffing needs with their teams.
Belk Dining Hall will be open and operate with continuous service from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Next update: A decision about operations on Tuesday, February 3, will be made and announced by 5 p.m. on Monday, February 2.
Thank you for your attention to Meredith’s weather updates.
